Kellie Yvonne Raines is an actress, playwright, and poet living in Northern California. Recent stage performance credits include Vinegar Tom, Put Out, The Sleeper, Antigone, Escape From Happiness, and The Underpants. Most recently she served as the dialect coach and performed the role of Joan in Vinegar Tom produced by KOLT Run Creations where she is an Associate Artist. In 2012 she co-hosted the 2012 Elly Award Adult Ceremony with Shawn B O'Neal. She can be seen on the Northern California Public Television Station KVIE as on-air talent for pledge and as one of the hosts for KVIE Arts Showcase. Kellie holds a Bachelors Degree in Dramatic Art from University of California, Davis.

November 4, 2012, Vinegar Tom closed. And so did Kellie's journey with Joan. She learned so much about performance, personal vanity, and relationships during this journey.

A friend yelled at me, "Stop writing poetry!" in response to my navigating 
lost, broken, and misappropriated love. I didn't  stop.

Everything is in the pieces. We ghost and fragment  ourselves to each other in  the pieces. Salty-sweet, bent-edged, lung-filled,  finger and tongue moments of  life and each other. Whether they're glittered  pieces or some flesh of a  shoulder of a person we devour when we fall in love.
